- Default Mode (Credits First): By default, we will always use your AI4Chat credits. If they are insufficient, the system will automatically use your provided keys as a fallback (trying OpenRouter first, then a specific key like OpenAI or Anthropic if applicable).
- "Prefer My Keys" Mode: For maximum savings, enable the "Prefer my API Keys" option in Settings. This will instruct the platform to **always** use your keys for chat, completely bypassing your AI4Chat credit balance for those tasks.

- Branches can be created in two ways:
- When a user regenerates a message.
- When a user edits a message and selects Save & Regenerate.
- If a user simply selects Save after editing, the message is updated in the same branch.
- Our branches UI is best-in-class:
- Unlike other chat platforms where branches are buried beneath messages and hard to track in long or nested conversations, we provide a simple, centralized interface to toggle through all branches in one place.
- Branches can be created in two ways:
- 🔗 Shared conversations now fully support branching. When a user shares a chat link, any branches they've created are visible to viewers (view-only for non-logged-in users).
- ✏️ You can now edit and delete both user and AI messages. Changes are saved to the database, ensuring your chat history reflects your updates accurately.
